Pumpkin Carving

Today my roommates and I decided to buy pumpkins and carve them. It was a lot of fun and one of the best pumpkins I have carved. See for yourself!

Amy Grant Concert

Despite everything that has happened this week, I had a wonderful time last night.

The Amy Grant concert was all that I had hoped it would be. It was amazing! She was reminiscing on her old Lead Me On tour which was 20 years ago. She even got the old band together to tour with her. Her 80's era album, even the lighting fit the theme, was great to hear in concert. Amy made a comment that she will be 48 next month, which is crazy. She looks amazing and very beautiful.

This has been a dream come true. Since I was little I have always wanted to go to a concert and I'm glad that Amy is still touring after all these years.

I hope she will be in town again in the following years so I can hear her newer songs played in concert.

The concert was held at Mariner's Church in Irvine. This is a very pretty church and a great venue. The seats I had picked out were perfect with a view of Amy straight ahead. Although I didn't buy the $100 tickets on the floor, my seat was up a few steps in the second row. I had a perfect view!

On Thursday, I attended the Jimmy Buffett concert in Chula Vista, San Diego. This was another experience all together and definitely had a different ambiance and fan base from the Amy Grant concert. It was a pleasant experience although I was up from 5:30am to 1:00am. What a long day. I had to be at a meeting at work at 7am and knowing how long it takes me to get ready I had to wake up at 5:30am. It was still a great day.

My family and I tail gated beforehand complete with fried chicken and margaritas!
